On Friday the 28th January 2016, Inter-Philosophical Institutes of the four major Seminaries of the northern zone: namely Kibosho Senior Seminary, Don Bosco, SMS-Njiro and Lumen Christi Institute – Maji ya chai – Arusha had their Symposium day at Spiritan Missionary Seminary to discuss the Popes Encyclical Laudato Si, or Praise be. It is an encyclical on ecology and our role towards preservation of the environment.

The Encyclical reminds us that, we cannot love God when we do not appreciate or care for what God has made. We are called to protect the nature in which we live and the life of the next generation. On this same occasion the book entitled Essays On Contemporary Issues In African Philosopy Which is the first fruits of the inter-Philosophicum academic discussions on the Symposia, was inauguration by the guest of honor Fr. Abraham Vettuvelil, MSFS, the Superior General of the Missionaries of St. Francis De Sales
